Biographies 38
Zannis Greek tenor, born in Athens, he studied at the
Experimental Music High School of Pallini. In 2021 he
Kanterakis graduated from the Department of Music Studies of the
Ionian University with a specialization in music theatre.
He has performed as a soloist in many music genres
Agamemnon like operetta, musical, and sacred music and he’s also
involved in classical and modern dance. As part of his
wider education he has attended singing, dance, acting
and music theatre seminars with important educators
and artists such as Fotis Nikolaou, Elena Mavridou,
Julie Atherton, Tony Timberlake, Iakovos Panagopoulos.
His participation in the production Offenbach’s La belle
Hélène marks his first collaboration with the Greek
National Opera. He is also a member of the vocal
ensemble Cantores Sancti Pauli, under the direction of
Iason Marmaras, and a founding member of the vocal
ensemble RenEssence, with which he performed at the
Sacrέ Festival on Corfu in September 2022. As part of
the same festival he was also selected to take part in the
special training seminar led by Gesualdo Six.
Nikolas Baritone. He graduated from the Athens Conservatoire
and has won multiple awards in competitions in
Karagiaouris London, Bayreuth, Thessaloniki and Athens. He has
collaborated with companies in Greece and abroad
and has performed a wide range of roles from opera,
Calchas Greek music theatre, musical and operettas, such
as Frank (Die Fledermaus), Polyphemus (Acis and
Galatea), Father (Hänsel und Gretel), Toreador (Carmen),
Bartolo (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Don Alfonso (Così fan
tutte), Count Ceprano (Rigoletto), Marquis d’ Obigny
(La traviata), Magistrate (The Murderess), Count (Il
trovatore), Sharpless (Madama Butterfly), Inquisitor (Don
Carlos), Colline (La bohème), Father Mapples (Moby
Dick), Inquisitor (Demons), Zeus (Trojan War), Claude
(The Bells of Edelweiss), Colonel (The Godson), Von
Krapfen (The Princess of Sazan), Robert Schumann
(Clara Schumann, The Charismatic Faces Of A Super-
Marionette), Jack (The Tin Soldier), Beast (Beauty and
the Beast). Moreover, he also gives thematic concerts
of Greek music, among others, bringing out the
international poetic and compositional output from the
Romantic period of the Greek War of Independence
(1821) onwards.
