Biographies 33
Yannis Born in Thessaloniki. He is a graduate of the Medical
School and the Theatre Department of the School of
Kalavrianos Fine Arts of the Aristotelean University of Thessaloniki.
His stagings and texts have been presented at
the National Theatre of Greece, Ancient Theatre of
Stage Epidaurus, Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus, National
Theatre of Northern Greece, Athens Epidaurus Festival,
director Athens Concert Hall, Ancient Theatre of Phillipi, Cyprus
Theatre Organisation, Theatre of Neos Kosmos,
Kefallinias Street Theatre, Apo Michanis Theatre,
Experimental Stage of Art Theatre, Deutsches Theater
(Berlin), Piccolo Theatre (Milan), No’hma Theatre (Milan),
Heidelberger Stückemarkt, Herrenhause Arts Festival
(Hannover), Sarajevo Winter Festival, Teatro Stabile in
Udine, Stok Theatre (Zurich), New York Greek Cultural
Center, National Drama Centre in Madrid, and at
municipal and regional as well as ancient theatres across
Greece. His works have been translated into English,
Italian, German, Spanish and Bosnian. He has been
honoured with several awards such as the 2013-2014
Karolos Koun Award for Best Play, the Nikos Zakopoulos
Award, and the International Prize “Il Teatro Nudo di
Teresa Pomodoro” (Milan, 2014-2015).
Petros Visual artist, he is a graduate of the Athens School
of Fine Arts and lives in Athens. He works with
Touloudis different forms of art (sculpture, video, installations,
performance), opera and theatre. Among other things,
as an opera set and costume designer he designed
Sets, the sets and costumes for Giorgos Koumendakis’ The
Murderess (GNO, 2014 & 2016), the sets for Ernst Toch’s
costumes, Die Prinzessin auf der Erbse (GNO, 2018), as well as the
video sets and costumes for Giorgos Koumendakis’ The Day
Will Come (GNO Alternative Stage, 2017). The period
animation between 2015 and 2017 he was a fellow of the Schloss
Solitude Academy in Stuttgart, Germany. In 2015 he
co-founded the Tinos Quarry Platform, a forum about
contemporary art that supports an artists’ residency
programme on Tinos.
