ISMAEL JORDI

Spanish tenor, he studied singing at the Reina Sofía School of Music and with Alfredo Kraus. He made his debut at the Teatro Villamarta in Jerez, his hometown, singing Ernesto (Don Pasquale). Since 2002, he has sung in the most prestigious theatres and concert halls worldwide such as Opéra Comique, Opéra Bastille (Paris), Chorégies d’Orange, Hamburg State Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Bavarian State Opera, Zurich State Opera, Dutch National Opera, Teatro Real (Madrid), Liceu (Barcelona), ROH (London), Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, La Fenice (Venice), Montréal Opera, the MET (New York), etc. His wide repertoire includes leading roles, among others, in Maria Stuarda, Anna Bolena, Roberto Devereux, L’elisir d’amore, Der Rosenkavalier, Il barbiere di Siviglia, La traviata, Rigoletto, I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Lucia di Lammermoor, Lucrezia Borgia, Martha, Eugene Onegin, Roméo et Juliette, Faust, Iphigénie en Tauride, Linda di Chamounix, La Favorite, Manon. In 2018 he sang to great acclaim the role of Romeo (Roméo et Juliette) at the Greek National Opera.
