ANTHONY GREGORY

English tenor, acclaimed for his unique timbre, stage presence and musicality. As one of the future operatic stars, he was the 2015 winner of the Breakthrough artists category by What’s on Stage following his appearance as Peter Quint and Prologue (The Turn of the Screw) for Glyndebourne on Tour. He has performed in prestigious theatres and festivals worldwide such as Royal Opera House (Covent Garden, London), English National Opera, Teatro Real in Madrid, Zurich Opera, Glyndebourne Festival and Aix- en-Provence Festival in such roles as Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Pane (La Calisto), Francis Flute (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Colonel Fairfax (The Yeomen of the Guard), Vafrino (Hipermestra), Florizel (The Winter’s Tale), as well as the title roles in Candide and The Mikado. He was also a member of the Verbier Festival Academy, performing the roles of Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia) and Roderigo (Otello), alongside Anna Netrebko and under the baton of Valery Gergiev. Highly in demand in concert, he has sung as a soloist worldwide with prestigious orchestras under the baton of famous conductors.
