MARIOS SARANTIDIS

Greek bass-baritone, born in Athens. He is a graduate of the Department of CMC at the Panteion University and at the University of Music and Theatre of Munich with Daphne Evangelatos. He continues his studies with Dimitri Kavrakos. He speaks English, French, Italian and German. He has collaborated with numerous conductors and artists, such as Andreas Spering, Will Humburg, Karl-Heinz Steffens, Markellos Chryssicos, George Petrou, Yorgos Ziavras, Zoe Zeniodi, Nikos Karathanos, Akyllas Karazisis, Michael Marmarinos, Thanos Papakonstantinou, Roland Schwab, Rosamund Gillmore, Tillman Knambe, Spyros Evangelatos, etc. His repertoire ranges from Baroque music to the 21st century operas, oratorios, Lieder, musical, as well as performance art. He has sung at the GNO, Athens Concert Hall, Thessaloniki Concert Hall, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Onassis Stegi, Olympia Municipal Music Theatre “Maria Callas”, Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus, Munich (Prinzregententheater, Gärtnerplatztheater), Ingolstadt State Theatre, Bad Reichenhall Festival, Wagner Festival of the Neuschwanstein Castle, RadialSystem V in Berlin with Berliner Ensemble Nico and the Navigators. In 2023 he performed the role of Charon in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo alongside Rolando Villazón at the Margravial Opera House (Bayreuth).
