NIKOS KOTENIDIS

Greek baritone, he was born in Siatista, Kozani. He studied classical guitar and voice at the National Conservatory of Kozani and continued his studies under Christina Gianna- kopoulou at the Athenaeum Conservatory (diploma with honours and gold medal). Moreover, he studied at the GNO Opera Studio with Aris Christofellis and continued postgraduate studies at the University of Music and Theatre in Munich under Daphne Evangelatos (Maria Callas scholarship). During 2015/16 he was a member of the ensemble of the Klagenfurt State Theatre. He has sung such roles as Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Don Giovanni, Demetrius (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Moralès and Le Dancaïre (Carmen), Lorenzo (I Capuleti e i Montecchi), Cassandro (La finta semplice), Peter (Hänsel und Gretel), Ali Moussakas (Halima), Schaunard (La bohème), Dr Falke (Die Fledermaus), Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro), as well as Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem. Ηe performed at the Hungarian State Opera with Piotr Beczała and Ferruccio Furlanetto (2014). He has performed with the Symphony Orchestra of the Athens Municipality, Athens State Orchestra and Munich Radio Orchestra.
