Anna-Maria Markopoulou

She was born in Athens. She studied and graduated from the GNO Professional Dance School as a dancer and dance teacher. She obtained diplomas of the English system of the Royal Academy of Dance with honours and attended seminars with renowned teachers, receiving a scholarship. She has collaborated with distinguished choreographers and directors from Greece and abroad, such as Konstantinos Rigos, Renato Zanella, Yannick Boquin, Thiago Bordin, Daphnis Kokkinos, Andonis Foniadakis, Krzysztof Warlikowski, etc. She participated in the Lighting and Handover Ceremonies of the Olympic Flame as a Priestess. At the same time, she took part in performances of the GNO Professional Dance School and productions of the GNO Ballet. From 2019 to 2021, she was a member of the GNO Ballet. She has collaborated in classical, contemporary and opera productions with the GNO Ballet, the X-Art group, the Young Greek Dancers Group of the Royal Academy of Dance in London and the American Ballet Theatre.
