ESNEL RAMOS

Born in Cuba, he attended the National Ballet of Cuba School (Havana) and immediately after graduation he joined the company under Alicia Alonso (2011). He then joined Ballet de Jalisco (Mexico) under the direction of Dariusz Blajer. Esnel danced as Lead Soloist right from the start of his career performing in a wide range of classical repertoire. In 2019 he moved to the USA and joined New Jersey Ballet under the direction of Carolyn Clark before moving to Montreal and joining Les Grands Ballets Canadiens under the direction of Ivan Cavallari. In Canada, he performed some of the most prestigious choreographers’ creations from Marcia Haydeé to George Balanchine. His repertoire also includes contemporary works of Garrett Smith, Mauro Bigonzetti and Edward Clug. Esnel got promoted to Principal Dancer in 2023. Ηe is invited throughout the world to guest in some of the most prestigious international dance companies and is represented worldwide by GCDANCEVENTS.
