CÉSAR GODEFROY

For around fifteen years, César has been developing his activity as a lighting designer in France for both theatre companies and the opera. His work almost always comes from close collaboration with the artistic team, from the first working meetings, in the sense that light is constitutive of both the scenographic and dramaturgical device. He has worked with Samuel Achache and the Ensemble Correspondances or Maëlle Poésy at the Avignon Festival, with Guillaume Vincent at the Odéon Theatre, with Alice Laloy at the National Theatre of Strasbourg, with Jeanne Candel and the Pygmalion Ensemble or the Lyon Opera Orchestra, with Yoann Gasiorowski at the Studio de la Comédie Française. Godefroy was first trained at the Olivier de Serres School in Paris in architecture and scenography before joining the School of the National Theatre of Strasbourg.
