GLEB FILSHTINSKY

Born in Leningrad, he graduated from the St Petersburg Academy of Theatre Arts, majoring in stage design and technology. From 1990 to the present, he has taken part in the creation of more than 400 theatrical performances and large multimedia shows. He acts as a lighting designer, set designer and stage director, whilst he is the author of lighting scores and scenography solutions for numerous musicals. Since 2012, he has been acting as an art director and designer of museum projects. He has received various accolades throughout his career including Russia’s “Golden Mask” theatre prize, Latvia’s National Award of Theatre and Estonian’s Theatre Award. He participated in the creation of performances by prestigious venues such as Berlin State Opera, Vienna Burgtheater, Mariinsky Theatre, Paris Opera, Maly Drama Theatre, English National Opera, Bolshoi Theatre, Gesher Theatre, Bavarian State Opera, Alexandrinsky Theatre, Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre, Moscow Art Theatre, Schaubühne Berlin, Teatro Real in Madrid, La Monnaie (Brussels), La Scala, Metropolitan Opera New York, Salzburg Festival and Zurich Opera.
