GIUSEPPE DI IORIO

Born in Naples, he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He has lit numerous productions worldwide such as A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Lido 2 Paris), Nabucco (Gothenburg Opera), Madama Butterfly and Der fliegende Holländer (lighting and sets, São Carlos, Lisbon), Un ballo in maschera (Norwegian Opera and Ballet), Rusalka (Polish National Opera), La forza del destino (Festival Verdi, Parma), Otello (Oscarsborg Opera, Norway), L’elisir d’amore (AsLiCo, Como Lake), Oedipus Rex (Syracuse Festival), Un ballo in maschera (Festival Verdi in Parma / Copenhagen Opera), La figlia del reggimento (Oscarsborg), La traviata and Il trovatore (Palermo), Farnace (La Fenice, Venice), Ernani (streaming, Palermo), Parsifal (Palermo), Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte and Le nozze di Figaro (Rome Opera). He has received two Abbiati awards. For the GNO he has lit The Possessed, Serse, La bohème, Rigoletto, Cavalleria rusticana, Pagliacci, Tristan und Isolde, Carmen and Tosca at the Olympia Theatre, Athens Concert Hall, Odeon of Herodes Atticus and Stavros Niarchos Hall (SNFCC).
