MARY KATRANTZOU

Born in Athens, she established her namesake brand in 2008, after studying architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design (USA) and graduating with a BA in textile design and an MA in fashion from Central Saint Martins in London. Her graduation show in 2008, which featured trompe l’oeil prints of oversized jewelry, took the industry by storm, immediately securing prestigious stockists such as Browns, Joyce and Colette. Refining her signature aesthetic, Katrantzou expanded the complexity of her engineered prints, translating her narrative into innovative textile design, couture craftsmanship, and a focus on form. Prestigious collaborations have included capsule ranges with Bulgari, Swarovski, Victoria’s Secret, Longchamp, Moncler, Topshop and Adidas Originals. Moreover, Mary designed costumes for the NYC Ballet and the Paris Opera. Her creations have been worn by Cate Blanchett, Beyoncé and Zendaya, whilst her works are featured in museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and Victoria and Albert Museum, London. As of 2024, she is the first Creative Director of Bulgari for bags and accessories, continuing her personal brand.
