Eleana Tsichli

Born in Athens in 1983. She studied acting at the Drama School of the Athens Conservatoire. She graduated from the School of Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. She has directed productions for Athens Epidaurus Festival, National Theatre of Greece, National Theatre of Northern Greece, municipal and regional theatres. In 2014, alongside the Ubuntu group, she was awarded the Emerging Artist Award by the Association of Greek Theatre and Music Critics. Among others, she has directed Roberto Arlt's The Seven Madmen (Athens Epidaurus Festival, Peiraios 260), Ivan Vyrypaev's The Drunks, The Magnificent Cuckold by Fernand Crommelynck (National Theatre of Northern Greece), Simon Stephens’ Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (National Theatre of Northern Greece), Juan Rulfo’s Pedro Páramo, Rainer Maria Rilke’s The Love and Death of Cornet Christopher Rilke, A Man with a Yellow Blouse, Charalampos Giannou’s Home, Mark Twain’s The Prince and the Pauper, Georgios Vizyinos’ O tromaras, Mikhail Bulgakov’s Diaboliad, Heinrich Böll’s The Lost Honour of Katarina Blum, New World, At the Animal Farm.
