Thanasis Apostolopoulos

Born in Athens in 1968. He studied piano, initially at the Athens Conservatoire and then in London, Paris and Salzburg. Among his teachers are Aris Garoufalis, Irina Zaritskaya and Germaine Mounier. He has a multifaceted activity both as a soloist and in chamber music concerts and lieder recitals, and has performed in European concert halls such as Bozar Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels, Kölner Philharmonie, Athens and Thessaloniki Concert Halls, Wiener Konzerthaus, the BFM in Geneva and elsewhere. He has given numerous recitals and chamber music concerts and has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as Athens and Thessaloniki State Orchestras and Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation National Symphony Orchestra, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Camerata – Armonia Atenea, Orchestra of Colours, Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, NDR Radiophilharmonie, Gürzenich Chamber Orchestra, Nash Ensemble, etc.
