Kenny MacLellan

Born in Glasgow. He studied Textile Design at Glasgow School of Arts and Theatre Design at Motleys School of Theatre Design in London, where he was awarded the Linbury Prize for Theatre Design. Before moving to Athens, he worked with Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Court Theatre, Traverse Theatre, TAG Theatre Company, Wexford Opera Festival, Opéra national Montpellier, etc. Since moving to Greece, he has worked, amongst others, with National Theatre, National Theatre of Northern Greece, Greek National Opera, New Israeli Opera, Theseum Ensemble, Municipal Theatre of Patras. He has participated in performances in Athens Epidaurus Festival and other theatre festivals in Brussels, Vienna, Warsaw, Cologne and Paris. He has worked as an art director on various feature and short films, television commercials and won the Set Design Award for the film Tugo Tugo at the Drama International Short Film Festival. He teaches theatre design at the Advanced School of Dramatic Arts of the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Patras, mask-making at Hydrama Theatre and Arts Centre in Hydra and collaborates on various seminars involving set design.
