Stella Michailidou

Stage director, choreographer and author of children’s books. She teaches movement and stage direction of productions for children and adolescents at the School of Drama of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has worked as an actress, mainly at the “Tehni” Experimental Stage, for more than twenty years, performing roles of classical and contemporary repertoire. She has directed and choreographed works for National Theatre of Northern Greece, “Tehni” Experimental Stage, Thessaloniki Concert Hall, National Theatre of Greece and many municipal and independent theatres. She has written eighteen children’s books. Her books Polyxeni and Isadora Duck were shortlisted for the Greek State Prize and Polyxeni was awarded by the Hellenic Children’s Book Circle for its text and illustrations. Her works have been staged by municipal theatres of Kavala, Kozani, Veria and Patras, “Tehni” Experimental Stage, Thessaloniki Concert Hall and other venues.
