Martha Mavroidi

She has composed music for dance and theatre performances, that have been presented at the Greek National Opera, National Theatre of Greece, Onassis Cultural Center New York, Athens Epidaurus Festival, Théâtre de Nîmes, SIDance, etc. With her quartet, she has given concerts in Europe and the USA. She is a member of the music group Smari and of the vocal ensemble Lip Flowers. She coordinates the vocal workshops The Happy Hour Choir and is the director of the traditional music chorus I Rodia. She has released five personal records and a book of compositions for vocal ensemble. She studied musicology at the University of Athens, ethnomusicology at the SOAS University of London and the University of California, Los Angeles and contemporary music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with scholarships from the Alexander S. Onassis Foundation and the Fulbright Foundation.
