Kornilios Selamsis

Born in Athens in 1981. During the period 2004-2010, he lived in the Netherlands and studied composition at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Works of his have been commissioned and played by ASKO|Schönberg, Nieuw Ensemble (Netherlands), Orkest de Ereprijs, Łódź Philharmonic, ARTéfacts ensemble, Athens State Orchestra, Molyvos International Music Festival, Onassis Stegi, Ventus Ensemble, Greek National Opera, MusicAeterna, etc. His opera Leonce and Lena and his installation Agathophron for 40 audio sources were performed at the Athens Epidaurus Festival in 2016 and 2018 respectively. His opera Offenbach’s La belle Hélène was presented on a tour throughout Greece by the Greek National Opera in 2023. A big part of his work as a composer consists of incidental music for theatre, for many productions in Greece and abroad.
