Dimitris Tiliakos

Greek baritone, he studied in Athens with Kostas Paskalis. He continued his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts (Munich), with Daphne Evangelatos, Donald Sulzen (Lied) thanks to a Maria Callas scholarship, as well as with Martino-Stamos Voyatzis. He won the Willi Domgraf-Fassbaender Competition in Munich. He made his debut as Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) at Prinzregententheater, Munich. He has appeared in major scenes worldwide such as Opéra national de Paris, Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), Teatro La Fenice (Venice), New York Metropolitan Opera, Bolshoi Theatre, Dresden State Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), Opera Narodowa (Warsaw), La Monnaie (Brussels), as well as in Tokyo, Monte Carlo, Madrid, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Zurich, Hamburg, Cologne, Nice, São Paulo, Moscow. He performs leading roles in operas by Verdi, Gluck, Mozart, Bellini, Puccini, Wagner, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, and works under prestigious conductors and directors. He has recorded, among others, Dido and Aeneas, Schubert’s Winterreise, Macbeth, Rachmaninoff’s Francesca da Rimini and Don Giovanni.
