Τhe Multicultural choir of the Greek National Opera has started its recruitment and rehearsals since December 2016. Its members are of various origins such as Iran, Slovakia, New Guinea, Syria, Cyprus, UK and more.

The Greek National Opera is pleased to announce auditions for soloists (as external associates)
Auditions will be held at the Greek National Opera’s ‘Olympia’ Theatre at 59 Academias St. on 8 and 9 September 2016 between the hours of 11:00 and 17:00. If necessary due to the number of participants, auditions will also be held on 10 September 2016 at the same times.
G.N.O may invite soloists back to a second audition on 20 September.

Andonis Foniadakis is the new Director of the GNO Ballet
Internationally acclaimed Greek choreographer and dancer Mr Andonis Foniadakis has been appointed new Director of the GNO Ballet. The decision was taken by Mr Myron Michailidis, Artistic Director of the GNO. Mr Foniadakis was selected amongst 36 candidates who applied for the position, following the Call for Expression of Interest. The new Ballet Director will assume his position as of 1st September 2016 for a term of three years.
