Tickets for the Greek National Opera’s productions from April through June 2024 go on sale on February 1st, 2024

Tickets for the Greek National Opera’s productions that will be held from April through June 2024 in the Stavros Niarchos Hall and the Alternative Stage at the SNFCC will be available for purchase on February 1st, 2024. This programme is made possible by a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) [www.SNF.org] to enhance the Greek National Opera’s artistic outreach.

In April, the Stavros Niarchos Hall will present a production of Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht’s opera Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, conducted by Miltos Logiadis and directed by Yannis Houvardas. The Alternative Stage will host the Greek premiere of The Loser, a music theatre production based on the work of renowned Austrian author Thomas Bernhard, adapted and directed by Ektoras Lygizos.

In May, the Greek National Opera Ballet will present its new production of Léo Delibes’ Coppélia with new compositions by Milko Lazar, choreographed by Edward Clug and conducted by Konstantinos Terzakis, in the Stavros Niarchos Hall.

The Alternative Stage will host the concert Light! Oh, Where Is the Light? featuring songs based on poems of Rabindranath Tagore, as well as the music theatre production The Voice of the Bacchae by Ioannis Angelakis.

On 28 June the Tribute to Manolis Kalomiris will be showcased in the Stavros Niarchos Hall.

* It is noted that tickets for the GNO productions of Tosca (June) and La traviata (July) at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus will be going on sale within the upcoming months, in line with the Athens Festival’s schedule.
