Tribute to Mikis Theodorakis

The Greek National Opera will honor Mikis Theodorakis 90th birthday with a great concert that will take place on the 10th October.

Soloists, the Orchestra and the Chorus of the Greek National Opera conducted by Elias Voudouris will perform emblematic fragments from great symphonic and operatic works by the distinguished Greek composer, a symbol of Greek modern culture, who celebrates his 90th birthday this year.

Soprano Julia Souglakou, Tzina Poulou, mezzo-soprano Eleni Davou, tenor Yannis Christopoulos, and bass Petros Magoulas will participate in a program that includes excerpts from the 1st, 3rd and the 7th Symphonies, as well as from the operas Antigone, Medea, Electra, the oratorio of Canto General and the ballet Zorba the Greek.
