Marita Paparizou

Began her career with the Alexandra Trianti scholarship, studying in Italy and in Paris. She made her debut in Genoa in the role of Onaro in Arianna in Nasso, which was recorded, followed by roles such as Rosina, Isabella, Tancredi, Isolier, Amastris, Ježibaba, Foreign Princess, Arsace, Fenena, Orlando, Tauride in Handel’s Arianna in Creta which was also recorded, Dido, Sorceress, Prince Orlofsky, Smeton, Circe, Medoro, Farnace, Juditha, in Athens, Pisa, Livorno, London, Paris, Monte-Carlo, Bilbao, Marseille, etc. One of her great moments was her performance in Carmen (Award of the Hellenic Association of Theatre and Performing Arts Critics). Her personal CD Vivaldi ma non solo with Claudio Simone and Solisti Veneti, of which she is a permanent member, is another milestone in her career receiving excellent reviews from the international press and an award from the Hellenic Association of Critics. In recent years, she has been a regular collaborator of Maurizio Colasanti and has worked with the Athens and Thessaloniki State Orchestras, the Orchestra of Colours, the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation Symphony Orchestra, the Municipality of Athens Music Ensembles, the GNO Orchestra and with conductors such as Christopher Hogwood, Alberto Zedda, Armin Jordan, Antonio Florio, Benjamin Franklin, Keri-Lynn Wilson, Giuliano Carella.
