LEO KULASˇ

Born in Croatia, he studied costume and fashion design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade. He first designed costumes for the opera Nabucco at the Split Summer Festival (Croatia) in 1983, directed by Paolo Magelli. Since then, he has designed costumes for over 200 productions in theatre, opera, film, TV, musical and ballet in Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Latvia, Bulgaria, Russia. He first worked with the choreographer Edward Clug in 1998 in the Slovenian National Theatre Maribor for the ballet Tango. Their other collaborations include Lacrimas, Radio & Juliet, Prêt-à-porter, Architecture of Silence, Watching Others, Hommage à Stravinsky, Les Noces, Hill Harper’s Dream, Noir et Blanc, Strings, Peer Gynt, Petrushka. He has been awarded for his work multiple times, in Slovenia and abroad.
