NIKA ZUPANC

Slovenian product and interior designer. After graduating with honours in 2000 from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (Department of Industrial Design) in Ljubljana, she became globally recognised with the launch of the «Lolita lamp», her first object to be mass produced by Moooi (2007). In 2008, she established her own eponymous studio and since then she works as an independent designer constantly involved in projects that grow out of distinctive interpretations of modern culture, contemporary design and available technological options. Her products are part of the range of dis- tinguished design companies such as Alessi, Driade, Moooi, Miss Dior, Qeeboo, Sé and Natuzzi to name just a few. Her praised limited-edition collections and installations are exhibited around the world. Along the way, Nika continuously produces objects under her own brand “Nika Zupanc” and is involved in various projects and exciting iconic collaborations, like the one with Porsche, etc. An extensive body of her works was recently wrapped in a monograph, titled Nika Zupanc. Breaking the Rules (Rizzoli, 2022). She has received numerous and prestigious awards.
