Electra Chrysanthou

Born in Nicosia. She started dancing at the age of four. At 18 she moved to Athens where she studied ballet, contemporary dance and flamenco. Since 1999, she has given dance classes and seminars at professional and amateur dance schools in Athens, Cyprus, London and Chania. In 2013, she co-founded the Taconeo studio for flamenco and percussion alongside Giannis Papagiannoulis. Since 1998, she has collaborated as a dancer and choreographer with groups and artists such as De todas formas, Ronda al alba, Lenia Safiropoulou, Kitrina Podilata, and participated in festivals and music stages such as SummERTime, Athens Epidaurus Festival, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Veroia Euechi Poli, Ano Syros Festival, Spiti Art Bar, Faust, Aliko, etc, as well as in numerous performances such as Balance, baila, Zambomba Flamenca, Mediterranean Aura, etc. In the theatre, she has participated as a dancer and choreographer in performances such as King Lear (Arroyo Theatre), Salome (National Theatre of Greece), Medea (Vima Angelon Theatre), etc. She has participated in the recordings of Giannis Papagiannoulis Parenthesis and Giorgis Kontogiannis Eros anikate as well as in music videos of the bands Triplicity and Kitrina Podilata.
