Panos Tsigkos

Piano technician with numerous certifications and collaborations. He studied mechanical engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and Advanced Piano Technology at the North Bennet Street School in Boston (USA). He is a member of the Piano Technicians Guild and holds the title of Steinway & Sons Spirio Technician. Additionally, he specialises in the maintenance of harpsichords (Atelier von Nagel), as well as Yamaha Disklavier and hybrid pianos (official technician for the Philippos Nakas music store). He studied classical piano at the Greek National Conservatoire and jazz at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory. He has collaborated with Stavros Gasparatos on theatrical and musical productions as an assistant composer and on-stage musician. They have taught together at the Transmedia Labworks of the GNO. As a piano technician, he collaborates with the National Theatre of Greece, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Literary Society Parnassos, the Ionian University, etc, often preparing pianos for numerous concerts and recordings. He holds a master’s degree in music technology from the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and has a particular interest in programming for audio applications, combining acoustic with electronic sound.
