Rinio Kiriazi

Graduate of the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece and the Department of Education and Early Childhood Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has studied the voice methods of Mirka Yemendzakis, Kristin Linklater and Roy Hart with Jonathan Hart. She works as an actress, director, dramaturg and voice teacher. In 2020 she founded the Alki Theatre Company and has since produced the shows Sti skia tou Lousia, Sappho katasteromeni, Antigone meteori, Anamesa sta eripeia ton Elftheron Poliorkimenon, Bacchae – to soma dichos soma. She was the vocal coach in Aeschylus’ Persians, directed by Dimiter Gotscheff, as well as in other productions. Her play Ursa Major [I Megali Arktos] is published by To Rodakio editions. She has translated the play Extrêmophile by Alexandra Badéa from the French. In 2007, she was nominated for the Melina Mercouri Prize for the production Fevgousa kori, directed by Mirka Yemendzakis, based on the short story by Alexandros Papadiamantis A Soul, and for her study, research and recording of fairy tales, lullabies and laments of Epirus.
