Myrsini Hatzikonstanti

Born in Athens. She received a diploma in orchestral conducting with the conductor Lukas Karytinos. She received a master’s degree in orchestral conducting from the University of York with John Stringer. She completed a course at the Royal Northern College of Music with Mark Heron. She has conducted, among others, the Royal Camerata of Bucharest, the Szolnok Symphony Orchestra, the York Sinfonietta and Chimera Ensemble, the Athens Municipal Symphony Orchestra, the Athens Philharmonia Orchestra and the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation National Symphony Orchestra. She was awarded the 3rd prize at the 14th International Competition and Orchestra Conducting Seminar of the Danube Symphony Orchestra. She was a finalist in four competitions and seminars with the conductor Michalis Economou. She conducted contemporary music under the auspices of the Greek Composers’ Union. As assistant conductor to Lukas Karytinos, she participated in the GNO productions of La traviata (2019), Madama Butterfly (2020) and Les Contes d’Hoffmann (2022), as well as in Carmina Burana (Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation National Symphony Orchestra, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, 2022).
