Maria Bazou

Born in 1999. She graduated with honours in choral conducting, piano, clarinet and fugue from the Katerina Maska Conservatory in Athens. Today she is studying orchestral conducting in the class of Professor Rafał Jacek Delekta at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow. At the same time, she studies orchestral conducting at the Athens Conservatoire in the class of Michalis Economou and composition at the Katerina Maska Conservatory in Orestis Bazos’ class. In 2023 she won prizes in international competitions in Romania and Poland. At the age of 19, she founded the symphony orchestra and choir Filii Notas in Athens. She is also a 5-year scholar in orchestral conducting “In memory of Theodore Antoniou”. In addition, she is a scholar for the years 2023/24 at the Music Academy of Krakow for her high marks and achievements.
