Maurizio Colasanti

Recognised on the international stage as a conductor of outstanding versatility. Known for his experience in conducting bel canto opera and for his expertise in baroque and contemporary music, he is a sought-after conductor of opera and symphonic music. He began studying music at the age of five and gave his first solo recital at seven. He later graduated with honours from the Conservatory of Music “Luisa D’Annunzio”. He also holds a degree with distinction in Theoretical Philosophy. He has collaborated with many leading and prestigious orchestras such as the Seoul Philharmonic, the Orchestra of the Petruzelli Theatre in Bari, the North Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, the Deutsches Kammerorchester, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra, the New England Symphony Orchestra. He has conducted in many important venues such as the Carnegie Hall (New York), St Martin in the Fields (London), San Carlo Theatre (Naples), Opera di Roma, Melba Hall (Melbourne), Smetana Hall (Prague), Lotte Hall and the Arts Centre (Seoul).
