Fotini Papathanasiou

Director, set and costume designer born and raised in Italy. She studied architecture at the Polytechnic University of Milan and continued her studies in design and event management in London (Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design and Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) where she interned at the Royal Opera House. Soon after, she moved to New York where she completed her training with Lella Telloli Heins from the Actors Studio. Since 1996 she has worked in numerous musical and dramatic productions as an assistant director, set designer and costume designer (Grease, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Little Shop of Horrors, For Money / For Love, Anthony and Cleopatra, Richard III, Othello, The Little Prince, Benjamin Britten’s Noye’s Fludde, Movement A – Tribute to Pina Bausch, etc). Since 2009 she has been working as a freelance designer in various theatre productions, shows, events and exhibitions both in Greece and abroad.
