Opera Interactively Into Schools 26

GNO The pioneering educational programme for secondary
education schools Opera Interactively Into Schools is the
Learning & continuation of a programme that had been successfully
implemented by the Greek National Opera in primary
Participation education schools from 2012 to 2015. The programme,
Department’s adapted to the contemporary digital age and the social
concerns of modern-day teenagers aims at familiarising
note students with the art of opera through their participation
in an interactive opera production.

Exploring the creative process that lies behind the
operatic stage, in relation both with time and space,
but also encouraging artistic experimentation and
discovery through the multi-leveled and inter-artistic
nature of opera as a genre, are the key objectives of this
educational programme.

Opera Interactively Into Schools is here to introduce
opera as a network similar to that of school
communities, where conversation, sharing, and the
feeling of belonging are the main components for giving
space to free expression, development and expansion.
